Sweetheart Bakery in Clinton, Iowa is a third generation family owned bakery since 1950. Specializing in decorated wedding cakes, anniversary cakes, and birthday cakes, decorated seasonal cookies, doughnuts and pastries, Danish pastries and coffee cakes. All of our cakes are made for you from scratch. We also excel in homemade breads, homemade candy and world famous blarney stones. Some of these items we ship all over the world. We make all of our Homemade Buns and Homemade Bread from Grandpa's 60 year old recipes.

Nice hometown atmosphere. Reviews raved about the sandwiches. Soup and sandwiches were good, but not spectacular as I was led to believe. Fresh bakery goods were spectacular, however. Fresh breads, croissants, pastries, even my all time favorite, carrot cake! Those are the items that will bring me back.

A staple for lunch. Sandwiches are fresh and the kaiser buns are one of kind! The homemade soup and deserts are excellent. You won't find better service in town. And having sweet heart bakery connected to the restaurant is nice. Highly recommend the apple cider donuts(seasonal)!
